Kino Flo knockoffs?

That thing looks home-made-ish. Look on Amazon for Cowboy Studio biax units - I have several. They have for-real steel yokes and are really pretty sturdy - and so cheap if you drop one you won't cry (too hard).

I've used them for hours and hours, location and studio. The same model turns up on eBay under various guises, but if you're an Amazon prime member, sometimes they're in Prime stock for free shipping.

My only prob with the Cowboy units - the rubber grip on the lock knob (yoke-to-stand) came loose on one and just spun around. It was a metric thread but I luckily had a metric t-handle in my junk box. It would be very simple to drill & tap the spud to fit a matthews t-handle, or just bolt a proper spud to the yoke (but get the Avenger - the matthews has a crappy thumbscrew, the Avenger has a chunky c-stand handle).

I think they have updated their models. Anyone experienced with new models?
They are from Sun Valley, Ca

I have bought many tubes and parts from Randy at Lexus. He is a great guy and everything I have gotten from him has been quality gear.

They're talking about 4 foot type fixtures that use those T12 bulbs. Cool Lights doesn't make any of those. But those ones in the link from BGundu are not genuine Kino ballasts or fixtures, its just a copy. No more than the "As Arri" the same company sells is a real Arri at half the price.

Good lord. I hope things are ok. NAB can definitely take a back seat. See you next year.

Negative, I missed a whole month of work due to my near-death hospital stay so I am staying home and working my butt off to try to make up for it.

Definitely see you next time sir.
