King of my block (music video) t2i shot n natural light out door /vegas edit

When did speaking your mind become hating? anyway...you have editing skills. Wish you'd put it to better use though. All this is a truckload of dudes rapping to camera. I'm extremely tired of seeing that. I'm sure you are more creative. Is there a reason why that's all there is to the video ? I know you dont have anything to do with the music (or do you) but also sick of dudes rapping about how "long" there money is and ***** this and that. To make matters worse they are in some wack ass location talking about how much $$ they have and whips and none of that is anywhere to be seen and "bitches" and there are no women in sight. Granted that wouldnt have made the video better but at least it would have had some relation to what they are saying. least when Gucci and the rest of those nimrods do it they have the visuals to back it up. These dudes are just some wanna be "ballers" that are living in a dreamworld. Again though thats no reflection of your work. just saying.

sad sad state of hip hop

1 way to make your video stand apart is to add a concept to it. it doesn't need to be the greatest story but just putting more effort into your project is what you need. Also if you are going to do a performance video only you should have a great location and SEVERAL different angles. You can apply cinematography to anything you shoot, but you just need to practice.

To me the video is not bad, it's just incomplete. Think about what they are saying in the song and how you can do anything to visualize that. To me honestly a Director is someone who can truly bring a song to life. You have your basic shooting concept and your editing down pack. Try working on your cinematography and directing skills. One thing is to shoot for people in your neighborhood and the other is to get calls from professional people in the industry who respect your work.

Keep practicing and put some more work into your projects

peace
