Kind of Camera

I have been watching many movies lately due to a list i have made for over the summer. Although it is just to expand my horizons, i can never keep from a technical question rising up about it. Right now Requiem for A Dream is on, and i love the way it is shot. I already know all the techniques, but i just don't have a clue to what the camera actually is that they used. I was wondering if there are documentaries or behind the scenes footage that could reveal this, or if anyone would happen to know what kind of a camera they used. thanks

Hi mate, I hope you dont mind, but I changed your text to white. That red was impossible to read.

If you check on IMDB on the left side there is a menu called technical which lists the camera used on the production

Heres Requiem for a dream already searched for you http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0180093/technical

Remember, though, with film, the look is in the filmstock and lens. The camera is a 'fun fact' to know and some cameras can do things others cant, such as higher FPS and etc... but if you start to equate a film camera to a film's look, there isn't much direct influence. The stock and lens is worth knowing.

I've always lamented that a lot of productions just list "Color" in the technical specification.

i have heard of that movie, it was screened for a film night at my school before i went. i totally forgot about it until now, i will definately check it out
