SHORT: KIN. Winner at Fantasia Film Festival

Hello there!

I launched a new short film a few days ago over the web. We have been chosen as official selections at a few film festivals and were awarded Best Cinematography at the Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal, as part of the short films from Quebec.

I'd love to get some feedback from anyone who has 8 minutes to watch the film. Comments, ideas, suggestions, thoughts, anything really that we can discuss about. I'd be delighted to here what you guys have to say.

So here it is. KIN:

Wow I thought it was beautiful. If you say it is your first short, I'll reach through the internet and smack ya, lol. I'd be jealous if it was your first!

Well done.

This where the geek comes out of me, I know talent rules over equipment. But can you share some details? What was it shot on, budget etc?

Always curious.

Thanks.

Haha. No, not my first short, but my first film that I can actually call a short film production. First time spending this much time and being so involved in a film project. My other shorts have been quick projects, no-budget, practice films.

We shot this on the Sony fs-700 with a series of Zeiss SRL lenses. Other equipment was pretty basic stuff: tripod, steadicam, etc.
Budget was roughly 8000$
