I need one like that cuz I just got a crane.

I'm sure you guys have good audio gear to match that tripod ... cuz you know you gotta bring great production sound with a title like that! :laugh: :)
 
A crane huh? Cool! We just recently got ourselves a dolly. Made it ourselves! It's great how a thing like that can suddenly boost your shooting....make it more 'real' in terms of filming.
 
Small update:

- We've just about sold our two DVX100a's and will have to replace it with an HVX.
This might be rather tricky considering we still have almost all yet to film, and switching cams out like this isn't particularly, <ahem> clever :)

- Locations are sorted.

- Some props are still causing problems though, and they'll have to be made by us, as we couldn't find anything for rent/sale that suits.

Fun project though!

no cam right now....HVX in the "works" but not sure if it will get here in time.
We might end up shooting with a chintzy Sony "handycam".

Q:
Anyone know when the earliest is one can upload the finished movie? I will be travelling at the end of September and was wondering if it will be possible to upload BEFORE I leave?
 
technically no because the link and all that won't be up until then (usually)

PM Jarred and ask if he can make a folder for you to upload before the link is officially up.

If that won't work you can upload it to my server and then I will transfer it to DVXuser server when the upload link is officially up.
 
Anyone know final delivery format yet?
We need to finish this up by tomorrow, as I'll be travelling from then onwards....(and we'd like to send it to you, Jack, if that offer's still valid). We need to know what format though. 16:9 MOV in H.264 is what we'd normally use. Is there a file size/frame size limitation?
