Ki Pro Mini Frame rate issue

Any one had any issues with the camera being one frame rate and the ki pro being another. We had this happen twice that we record a couple of cards and have to format a card start back and the Ki Pro switches to 29.97 from 23.97. We can reboot and it changes back. Downside we didn't catch the first time till after the shoot. Any ideas what I may be doing wrong?
 
Its a 60i signal coming out. Do you have pull down removal enabled? Without that its just trying to record the signal it receives.
 
Yeah we had recorded several hours of footage fine. We re-booted the ki pro and everything was fine after that.

This isn't anything I've ever heard of before; the Ki Pro products auto-detect the incoming video format and frame rate.

The Sony PMW-F3 can output signal as 1080PsF 23.98 or as 1080i 29.97 depending on menu settings; perhaps this was
altered, unknowingly, at some point. This would explain why the Ki Pro Mini auto-detected 1080i 29.97 at some point
and why your SxS camera recordings would still be 1080p 23.98.

Hard to speculate, but this seems plausible. The key thing to know is that the Ki Pro Mini auto-detects signal so it's
doubtful that you made an incorrect setting on the Ki Pro Mini; it's more likely that the camera output was altered.

Most likely the SDI/HDMI was set to add pulldown and the KPM was connected to the SDI out rather than Dual Link A out.
I use mine with KPM connected to A and HDMI out to monitor.
