that used to be a pretty good joke, unfortunately the US economy is in the shitter big time and the dollar is actually pretty damn close now.
 
I've heard, but was surprised to see it in practice actually. I was calculating how much a USD purchase would cost, and the Canadian conversion was only marginally higher - a definite plus!
 
yeah.. kinda a plus except i get paid in US dollars for most of my jobs so Ive been getting screwed for almost a year now.. I remember when 600 US bucks was almost 1000 canadian... now its almost 900.
 
:( our economy makes me sad.

So does gas. Jesus. What is it in Cali? It's 2.42 around here... It's always like 20-25 cents more there than here.

In any event, there are still shoe boxes a plenty in the Belis Fair parking lot. ;-)

Yikes! It's been a while since I've converted $Can to $US. Last time I did it was around 55% to 60%. That really helped stretch a pay check when going from Detroit to Windsor for a Weekend.
 
Hey ggrantly, I got what you're saying some of those shoe boxes were mine. Ditch the boxes and scuff 'em up a little before heading back to the homeland.
 
yeah i went, but left after a few hours, it was a little tainted so it wasnt a normal experience.
 
no.. it was in Vancouver, where he dropped out of film school (VFS) and used his partial refund to make clerks with.. I guess Smith has kinda bad mouthed film school for the last 10 years... So, VFS decides to buy 300 tickets for it's students, show up with all the staff and give him an honorary diploma etc.. so it was a really strange mood, and those kids that goto VFS are all nutjobs.. so some really wierd questions. His wife even got up and left a few times :)

But it was funny for the first bit.. nice to see his little sidekick etc. Smith is a pretty smart cookie and a good story teller. The audience was just the missing link.
