Kessler motion control is amazing - see mainstream label music video here:

THIS IS NOT NEWS. We have plenty of forums for work review and critique. This is not one of them. This thread is moving.

Not my kind of music, so couldn't watch for more than 30 seconds, but I thought the video looked very nice. I especially liked the way you used the singer duplicated in the opening shot. How did you do that?!

...I'm curious, did you relight for each VFX shot ? ( I imagine that getting your lighting to match for each VFX shot would be key to getting them all to work together in the final composite )

Yes, each instance had her own lighting very carefully placed to create the impression of a single, large, uni-directional glow.

To jason - This is news because Cinedrive is a new Kessler product, as is the moco crane, and this is the first released project that uses it(that's not juts a tech test) that I know of. I'm sure there will be many more soon.

Then Please add all of that relevant information to the OP.

Any chance you could post a few BTS photos of your set-up? ( very curious to see what the whole production set-up looked like )

There will be a BTS video released in a week or two. However, some lighting instruments we used are unreleased light-modifiers we can't show, but it will give you an idea.

...I'm also curious about your focus, as your focus seems very deep from the center figure and on, but the other VFX instances look soft as if the focus was always set to the central figure, including during the track-in.

That's what happens when you watch things on your phone. On my laptop with the quality cranked up, The first shot gave it away. Nice concept and execution either way.

Yeah I'd be interested in some BTS shots of the moco setup as well... did you have a green screen in place of the center figure for the foreground passes, or did you do a difference key with a clean background-only pass? Nicely executed.

Focus was moco like the rest. F11 for more "painting-like" feel.
