Keeping prog as prog

Sorry if this has been asked before, but when I start a 1080 project I have the option of 25p or 25i (I'm PAL), however if I try to import my MXF's into a 25p project I get the "mixing interlaced and progressive" warning, so it seems that Avid thinks my 1080 25p is in fact i.
Now I assume this is due to the DVCProHD codec, but I just want to know, if I import into a 25i project, will I still have progressive footage? And how to keep it progressive all the way.
The final targets at the moment are DVD and a Hi Def media file with the settings in Sorrensen set to "progressive" for both.
Am I making a complete bodge of things,if so can anyone tell me the right way to do things?
Thanks in advance
Dave

So far 25 people have loked at this, but no one has deigned to reply, even to say "Do a search" or "Yes what you're doing is ok" or "No try this"
Has ANYONE

'Patience is a virtue..." Perhaps 25 people looked at it and did not have an answer. And saying "do a search" is something you already seem to know.

Import anyway, how the frame is identified in the file may be interlace, but once imported into 25p project will be treated as progressive regardless of its source format.
