Keep or not to keep that is the question

Hi guys, I am new to Vegas, my wife bought me the movie studio plus DVD Platinum Edition HD. I now use Premiere pro. My question is, should I keep this program or hold out for the pro version? I don’t think I will be switching to Vegas, but I wonder if it will be useful for certain things like capturing 24p and HDV, and for making DVDs.

Well, certainly, the full version of Vegas 6 is much better. I think you'll find that if you start using it for smaller projects, you'll be going back to Premiere less and less until Premiere starts to gather dust.

Thanks for the reply. Does anyone know if there is an upgrade path for movie studio plus DVD Platinum to Vegas? I looked at their website but found no upgrade info.

thats what happened to me, diehard premiere user UNTIL vegas 4 (whe it got real good) never looked back

you cant beat those autocross fades, and the the mouse scroll=zoom function. And vegas has the best audio features hands down.

Now if they would just add VSTI
