KC-10 Refueling Mission

Not much here, I just had my camera along on a KC10 mission I got to fly on.

One of the F16s we were refueling had some serious problems trying to connect.

At one point the tail was almost touching the plane and the boom op had to call for an immediate break. Our pilot FLOORED it and I was pushed into the window I was filming from.

Very cool!!! Almost died!!!

Thank God these guys do THEIR job better than I do mine!

What I found scary was I think I was the only person on that plane who was over 35!!!

I like how we're landing and the pilot says... "Hmmm... pretty good wind!"

AAAAAHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhh!!!!!!

Awesome. Now that's entertainment. Okay; so Captain? I need some stock footage of a pilot in an F-16 for my scene when they are escorting Air Force One

This shot kicks ass

Wow, that was really, really cool! Thanks for posting that, CaptM. My brother is a former A-10 jet engine mechanic for the Air Force and he's really gonna get off on this! Thanks again, that was a treat.

Wow, that is definitely something you don't see everyday. The shot of the pilot is incredible. It almost looks too good to be real!

Very Kool stuff man. I've never seen them fueled like that on the top. Looks more dangerous than that floating funnel thing, at least with that the fighters have to maneuver themselves, this way you both seem to have to maneuver pretty tight.

It's funny Frizzle Fry, I'm an ex A-10 mechanic and I got off on this. Where was your brother stationed? Captain, that took me back to my Air Force days, thanks. I could smell the sweat on that pilot as he tried to hook up.

That's some great footage! Yeah, John is right about that shot down at the pilot/co-pilot. Those are well done.

Oh, and you fricken flew over my house!

Great photography! Yeah I had a similar incident once while traveling to Japan. The Korean Air pilot flew in too fast into Nagoya Air Port and had to slam on his breaks. Basically, everyone went flying out of their seats.

agnus61, LOL that's awesome! My brother was stationed at Eielson AFB near Fairbanks, Alaska, from '88-92. His passion for aircraft, esp. military aircraft, rubbed off on me at a very young age. I've got a bunch of Thunderbirds and Blue Angels footage that, if I ever finish my paying-non-video projects, I'll stitch together and post here.

CaptM, when I was viewing your video, I was feeling nervous for that pilot, slowly inching toward the monitor...real edge-of-your-seat stuff. Hopefully you can get more stuff like this to share with us!

Frizzle, I'd love to see that footage. I knew a guy (didn't we all) that was in Alaska just before your brother. Military planes are cool.
