The fabric on the back of the bag is pulled from contact with velcro. It's only cosmetic though and doesn't hinder the functionality of the bag.
Zippers work fine, and the gazillion small black straps are also included (I found them inside the pockets... I must have put them in there when I first bought the bag. I have no idea what they're for.)

how would you rate this bag against the DR-467?

Hmm, I'm not sure since I haven't used the DR-467 but they look like two different beasts... the T-214 would be better if you want a smaller lighter pack, looks like the DR-467 would be better if you want to fit more stuff in it.
