MUSIC VIDEO: Kascarade featuring Julie E Gordon - Rise Again

This video is UK indie band Kascarade with Julie E Gordon, former backing singer for the Happy Mondays.

Filmed 95% on a GoPro and 5% on GH3 with an SLR Magic anamorphot.

Because the GoPro doesn't cope at all well in dark conditions I used Neat Video noise reducer before editing.

Hey dude some parts of this video are flawless, some incredible shots and very professional looking. Only issues I had were that the shots didn't have much variation once the tune dropped, the way it was all graded the same too; I felt there could have been some different colours emerging in different shots later in the tune. How did you do those flying shots? Did you have a crane? I would be interested in learning more about how you achieved those crane and flying shots. Anyway well done very cool.

I'm assuming he captured them with a drone. DJI Phantom for example.

Flying shots were with multicopters, 1 a hex, 1 a quad, I didn't take those particular shots, but explained the angles needed. I would have liked more variety later in the video but the British weather worked against us, the band were happy with the edit as it was, personally the final aerial shot I didn't think was strong enough compared to the rest so I would have cut that if the choice had been mine.

Towards the end there was going to be a mutlicopter final shot, but the lead singer along with the rest of us was being attacked by just masses of midges (small flies) we were bitten to pieces. So that idea was canned.

The ground shots were primarily GoPro on an FY-G3 2 axis handheld gimbal to match the look.
