K6-C vs K6-RD powering modules

Hi everyone is there a difference between these to powering modules for the sennheiser mic.
I had the K6-C when I had bought the ME 66 mic but it was damaged so I had to get a new one. Now I received the K6-Rd which seems indentical to me but I'm not getting any signals or even noise for that matter.

Please let me know wondering if the mic it self maybe damaged now...bummer

Have you contacted sennheiser customer service? Nothing wrong with asking here, but I think they could give you the best answer, and this is the kind of thing they're there for.

That would have been my next step. Another problem I have is that I dont live in the US or UK. I bought it from the US. No dealers where I'm from.
Was hoping someone could give me a quick answer or enlighten me.

Nothing wrong with it as far as I can see.

The "Red Dot" version would be padded down to prevent overload of video camera mic. inputs.

The standard K6 and K6-C are the same, with the -C version being in just a cardboard box.

The "Red Dot" denotes a special version - and there were several padded down versions of the K6-C available (and you can even have a standard version modified) which will lower the output by about 10dB or 15dB or so.

Many cameras have the level control *after* the first-stage amplification and the standard K6 could overload this first stage on some cameras, hence the padded down version.

So - it looks like you have the padded version and you should go back and swap it for the correct one.

I'm using the mic on the fs100 with( and without) a mix pre-D which is what I forgot to mention earlier.
