Thanks!!
Selling $650 SHIPPED for everything within the US.
Up for sale is a JVC TMH150CGU 15” Color Production Monitor in absolutey perfect condition. Monitor was bought by myself new in 2008 and used for only one project which was color correction for “Slimed,” my feature film. This was THE most recent professional entry level CRT monitor JVC manufactured before discounting their line. You can no longer buy this monitor, even new! See the three notes below:
*NOTE: In Component input mode C. the PHASE adjustment reads as NO EFFECT, which means you can’t adjust it. Not sure if this is just a setting I don’t know how to activate in the sub-menu, or if this is just the way this feature operates on this input mode on this monitor. But it’s never given me any problems whatsoever. I was EASILY able to color balance the monitor through component using the blue-only mode with the other adjustments. Phase as well as gamma brightness and contrast are all adjustable in all other input modes A. B. and D. It’s just input mode C. for some reason reads “no effect” on PHASE only. All other settings adjust PERFECTLY.
**NOTE: This monitor is in LIKE NEW condition, and WILL calibrate BEAUTIFULLY and gives incredibly accurate and detailed picture. Tubes are barely worn and it outputs a top of the line accurate non-shifting WIDE color palette.
***NOTE. Keep in mind, this setup is for SD ONLY. This monitor and breakout box can not handle a HD High Definition picture. However, for a SD project this monitor is perfect for post, or professional color correction. For a full list of specs on everything please see the second post.
*** NOTE this is also a HEAVY monitor, weighing in at 35lbs, so it’s not necessarily the best thing for on set monitoring unless you have a video village type setup.
Included in the price is the Datavideo DAC-6 DV to Analog Video Converter which converts a standard firewire 400 signal and outputs to component, s-video, or composite. 3 BNC cables for component and composite are included, all you need to hook it up to a computer and have it running out of the box is a standard firewire 400 cable (fw400 cable not included, but you can get these anywhere for a few bucks).
Also included in the price is the JVC IF-C01COMG Component Video and RGB Input Card pre-installed into the back of the monitor. This card alone still runs 240 bucks NEW from b&h and essentially allows for component input into the back of the monitor.
Specs on everything is listed in the 2nd post. Please see the images above and below which are from the actual items for sale. The only reason I’m selling is because I don’t plan on Color correcting anymore SD projects anytime soon. I’ll knock off 50 bucks if you want to pick this thing up locally in AUSTIN, TX as it is very expensive to ship.
Here is everything you’ll get:
*All original boxes AND manuals and power cables
*JVC TMH150CGU monitor
*JVC IF-C01COMG Component Card
*Datavideo DAC-6 Converter box w/ 3 BNC cables
All together, $650 shipping included! (This setup would have cost over 900 dollars new)
Just purchase a firewire 400 cable and you are ready to plug and play. This setup works perfectly with both PC and MAC. I personally used it with an IMAC and G5 tower with FCP v5.1.4 and higher and it worked perfectly.
Feel free to PM with any questions or an offer. I take paypal or money orders. Thanks for looking!
Thanks!!
