JVC HD10U - Hot Pixel Fix?

Hi, everybody, I know there's barely been any activity in the JVC forum for a while but I happened upon an old JVC HD10U that I've always wanted to have just for fun to see if it really was everything people said it was (which was terrible!). I haven't filmed too much on it but it doesn't seem to be too bad aside from the whole manual exposure goofiness of shutter OR aperture but not both. The only problem is that I've noticed that there were some hot pixels, hopefully not dead, as they are colorful and not straight dead white like what I saw on my old Canon GL1. I've heard there might be some hidden service menu or some other method to correct for these as they do seem to disappear at super high shutter speeds but I'm at a loss for what to do about them. For toying around, the camera is working enough for that but if there's a way to help it out, I'd definitely like to give it a try. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
