[FS: General] JVC GR-D347u - Used as MiniDV Capture Deck

This camera has never been used to shoot. It's been in my office to capture tape. It has about 60-80 hours of capture time on it. Works perfectly. Comes in original box with all accessories, including battery, charger, lens cap, video cable, strap, and manuals.

Price is $50 - includes Paypal fees, plus actual shipping charges (buyers choice)

Reason for selling: I no longer have any MiniDV cameras. Selling all unused equipment in my office.
 
Question... would this deck work if say I shot the footage in an HVX200 and played it in the JVC to Capture tape into FCP? I thought it would not but maybe I'm wrong...
 
I assume if you shot it to tape, yes. But I have never done it so I would suggest you validate before committing to buy.

to play and capture HD, you'd need a smaller HD camera, the codec is different and wont play in an SD camera.

Pretty sure the the SD format the HVX200 uses on tape is the same DV format all the DV cameras use. Of course it can only record HD to P2 or firewire capture. At any rate, I see no reason any DV cam couldn't capture DV footage shot with the HVX200.
