JVC ends an eara

Wow. That made me feel something for some reason. LOL. Seriously, I felt like clapping and crying all at the same time. The past if gone and it is no more. Video is digital now. Period.

Good riddance to bulky tape cartridges, time for them to sleep with the fishes.

VHS tapes always reminded me of 8 track tapes, in an optional accessory for a Camaro kind of way.

In an ages 3 to 7 Christmas gift to watch Barney kind of way.

It's strange to think that VHS will be something the next generation has no idea about. Heck.. maybe even this generation.....

Yep it WAS nice, but what we have now is purely AMAZING
Sleep well VHS :Drogar-Happy(DBG):

I remember picking VHS over Beta when I invested in gear to shoot Wedings in 1978-79. It was a scary choice since Beta was still in the lead and was a better format. But I watched the trends and "guessed" correctly.

Last year I invested in a VHS-DVD dubbing deck and tranferred all the kids Birthdays and Holidays to DVD. Man did I have a lot of memories I forgot about. :)

I still have 4 VHS decks connected in the edit bay. But haven't used them in months. I still have one Consumer Beta deck on standby. :)

I made about $1,500.00 transferring 3/4" to Beta SP this year. Glad I never got around to pulling that from our edit bay.

I have all sorts of old crap in the studio. Maybe this will motivate me to start dumping it... Naw. :)
