JVC 17" Monitor with Component inputs

It's got great specs- resolution, viewing angle, contrast ratio, lots of nice inputs, great price...
Just no 16:9 that I can see. I checked out the manual on JVC's site, but found nothing about 16:9 sources.

Any ideas if this would make a good field monitor? Or at the least, a good HD monitor to turn upside down and use for focusing a 35mm adapter?

Would it even display an HD image at all from the HVX? Even if it's not the right aspect ratio?

We've one of these and its native HD, so its 16:9
