Just Wrapped Production

I just finished working on a non-profit video for an organization I volunteer with.
The production had an overall lack of direction IMO but it was decided that instead of making several short videos
they wanted one long video to be made instead, despite my stern advice on the matter.
Anywho tell me what you think :)

^^ Are you sure this was shot on the DVX100 ? Just awesome !! Very very clear, almost HD quality on the interviewees. Very well made promotional video. Great camera work. May I ask what post production work did you do to make it look so clear, crisp, HD quality like ? I have the DVX100B and after compression using squeeze, quality is very soft.

Thanks for the compliment!
I actually shoot squeeze myself.
I didn't see any quality difference when i did my own tests so I shoot squeeze to make my post work simpler (no need to crop to 16:9)
For the interviews I think you see more definition because of the lighting and the distance from Subject to Camera.
The lighting for most of the interviews had three point lighting that aimed to highlight the definitions in the faces of the subjects.
The distance I also think made a difference because I have realized the DVX100B seems sharper when shooting things closeup (like 5-8 feet).
I shoot in 24PA then capture in Adobe Premiere, putting it in a 24P timeline, cutting together and then exporting to 720x480P 24P H.264 for the web at 5Mbps.
Hope that helps!

Great video! I really enjoyed it. I agree, the interviews look HD. People keep saying the DVX is old, but I'm still in love with the picture it creates. Beautiful work! Congrats!
