I recently recieved my HPX170 and Cartoni Focus tripod yesterday.
First impressions. Incredible camera! The image is completely reworked and improved, very low noise (I can finally use cinegammaD without moaning about the noise), and much more sensitive. And all the added features, wow. (Waveform monitor, VERY useful). I intend to use the SDI out for onset monitoring.
And most of all, hardly ANY lens play. I was extremely suprised actually, seeing that I bought it from AbleCine and the camera they had on display did exhibit some of this lateral play i've seen on these forums. But perhaps I just got lucky, i don't know.
I actually have an HVX200 (NOT 200a) and the hpx now, and I plan on filming some comparison shots today. I'll post em later
