Hey guys, I just rented what I thought would be a DVX100 but it appears the rental facility didnt know that theyve actually got a DVX100A.  Sweet!  Now since Ive been planning for filming with the DVX100(no A), I'd like to know what the difference between the two are.  Also, since I just got this baby I havent had a chance to start testing it out (its late, so unforunately Ill have to do that tomorrow  :'() so I was wondering what settings I should use to maximize the resolution of the image.  Its wierd, this is the best camera Ive ever used so I gotta adjust from the tiny camcorder I was using before.  Oh and the zebra pattern was already on when I started using it, but it seems quite sensitive (every room has many things that trigger the zebra). ANy help is appreciated, guys!

Just keep reading the posts here. Read 'em all! Also, use the presets. Each time you dial up the wheel in the back you'll be told which preset you are using. Don't really know what you want to shoot so it's hard to tell you what settings you want.

Oh -- can you size down your picture under your name??? It was a bugger to load. Thanks.

There we go, just changed the pic, I didnt really care much for it anyways :). The stuff I want to shoot is mainly going to be for the internet, but I would love for it to be viewable at film festivals as well. Since I only have Premiere Pro (not 1.5) I cant really edit in 24P advanced, so I think Ill have to go the route of regular 24P. I've discovered the dvfilm.com settings and I wonder if anyone thinks those would be worth following. Thanks!
