GH2 Just received my GH2 in the mail - and it keeps freezing

Seems to take pictures and video fine, and watching through the viewfinder works.

But when I open the LCD, it only takes a few seconds before the camera freezes. No matter what I press, it doesn't respond. Even flicking the off switch does nothing - the 'On' light remains and the LCD stays on. It's not until I remove the battery that it finally turns off.

Anyone have this issue? I ordered from 17th Street Photo. Has anyone ordered from them?
 
I originally misread your post , but it does sound likes it's defective. It's behaving like the firmware is corrupt.
