just received my 5dmk2

totally new to the workflow in fcp and in dslr's in general. right now im trying to find the shutter actuations but google says u cant find it on the 5d. so now im trying to make sure the firmware is updated. then idk any pointers? i plan on shooting 1080/30. whats the best way to capture this footage in final cut. sequence settings capture settings etc. and i also plan on mixing with some hvx200 footage. im thinking apple pro res but have no clue how to go about it? any information that will help me learn the 5dmk2 workflow quickly as possible is greatly appreciated.

Get the free log and transfer plugin from Canon it auto converts the footage to Prores when you import to FCP

The image files should be numbered sequentially. Take a photo and note the file name.
