Hey, guys

I just bought an Oktava MK012, but forgot the shock mount, went through the Rycote online, didn't find the proper size, can anyone let me know the size or the name of the shock mount for it?

Also except the small ball shape wind protection from Rycote
http://www.rycote.com/products/baby_ballgag/

is there any other options?

Can this softie windshield put on the Oktava

( I mean the third pic.... the small one ) I saw people put it on Scheop, but Oktava 's head is bigger than his mic body

Thanks

Hiro

I just bought this. What's your budget?
Im guessing an Invision 7 or a PSC mount is going to be best for you.

I think this one is the right size. Can anyone confirm?

I own that mount and while I don't personally use the Oktava
I know of its handling noise issues and I'll say this mount would
be horrible for it.

You need something with a bit more "play" in it to help reduce
handling noise and this is a very stiff mount.

It works great with my CS3e but thats about it.

The Rycote INV-7 should be perfect - it will fit any mic. from 19mm to 25mm in diameter.

It's better than the Cinela Osix and a lot cheaper (though the Osix is *almost* as good, it's pretty close), though the new polymer mounts on the Osix may have equalled the performance now, but the Osix *is* quite a bit more expensive.

These two mounts are way ahead of any others.

For wind protection it depends on the use. I presume the mics came with a foam windshield (?) - if so, the easiest option would be to put a Rycote special mini Windjammer over the foam.

The Baby Ball Gag would also be a suitable option, providing there is enough of the mic. in front of the mount to fit it.

I hope this helps.

+1 for the invision

and go for the baby ball gag, even for interior quick boom swings you're going to need the protection.
