Just got a new camera - Sony F35

that is not standard..standard parts are those, bought from SONY as a kit.. Aren't you ask a little bit to much that all of that would be included in that price? that is additional equippment..

The F35 was only an unruly and large beast with the SRW-1 deck docked on the back. Sadly that's how most of the pros remember it.

The F35 as we know it is only as difficult as an ALEXA, but sadly our industry is a fickle one.

what standard parts ( else than viewfinder ) are missing?? There are assitant-panel and interface-box included..

I don’t know what redblack999 is talking about. What he list is extra accessories not standard. I think he doesn’t know F35 well. I was talking auction is missing handles, base plate, assistant panel hanger etc. All this came with F35 but not included in auction.

I never got to shoot a direct comparison with the D-21 and the F35. They are pretty different cameras.

The D-21 draws about 2 amps at 24V, so similar power draw to the F35. There isn't really an onboard battery option though.

Having the optical finder is super nice though.

In case you missed it, the Cinematography site has a test where they compared the F35 to D21 - you can download dpx files from their site to play with.
Here I've uploaded an original D21 dpx and an F35 dpx graded to match the D21.

Which do you like better?

Killer price? What you think of red one for $1600? I know original red one was a POS but mx is not much more money today too. $1600:

I'm not sure that a RED one is even worth $1600, in fact that's pretty pricey for what you're getting and what's needed to make it work. Image is not satisfying these days, even comparatively speaking to even extremely cheap Blackmagic cameras. But MX was a huge upgrade and I think the One MX would still be worth shooting on. For some reason the one MX still looks better to me than Scarlet / EPIC. Maybe it's the noise or whatever, but it has a more textured look. If there was an MX brain floating around for 1600, I'd be interested in that.

That was my F35! Sad to see it go so low. But I guess that was the market rate. It was just sitting on the shelf and I needed funds to go towards my new Canon CN7 lens for my F5. Sparky

If only you were around here to play with your toys...

As this seems to be the "general" thread, just thought I'd let you guys know my Frezzi juicebox is up for sale. Super-handy bit of kit for any F23/F35/F65 owner. It's in the for sale section

I am sadly leaving the F35 community. I have accepted a new position and the F35 I purchased and set up will stay with the company that bank rolled it. Now to read up on the C100 MK2...
