Just got a JVC hd 100u and trying to capture it through FCP at hd24p but FCP wont pick up the device... any suggestions

This would be the wrong forum for that. However, you will gets tons of help over at the DVinfo.net forum under the jvc100/200 camera section. (There are many people with that camera over there) Good luck.

There are some very knowledgeable HD100 users here too, but he is right about this being the wrong forum.
