Just Got A GH2 Only To Be Disappointed "Battery Cannot Be Used" Its Original Battery

I finally got a GH2 but I cannot use it bc I keep getting this message "Battery Cannot Be Used" its a Lumix Battery btw not some aftermarket.

Check to make sure the contacts inside the camera (specifically the middle 2 contacts) are not slightly bent. You might also check the voltage of the fully charged battery. You may just have a bad battery or worse a bad camera.

I got a GH2 the second week of December with the exact same issue. I bought two genuine Panasonic batteries for over $200 thinking that would fix the problem. It didn’t. I returned that camera and bought a new one for twice the price. The new one has worked perfectly for about 6 months.

Return the broken one and get a new one. I doubt you will be able to fix it. You will probably end up breaking it even more so that it won’t be able to be returned.
