in hopes to keep on posting more stuff, thought i'd share some random outside pics of trees i did this afternoon. the music was more the motivation. it's from "The door in the floor"

i dare say i tried to pull a bit of a disjecta... but I dare not compare. enjoy

really pretty scenes there. I enjoyed it, it reminds me of something I would do.
good job man... I'd love to see it edited together further into more of a sequence.

thanks mad, unfortunately, that's all there is for now- it was purely on whim, but I was going to try more stuff to get more out of the music piece itself- maybe then who knows...thanks again for your comments.

really cool! I liked it. Reminded me of the beginning of like Saving Private Ryan or something...can't totally pin it.

Don't take this the wrong way, but disjecta is a genius. Watching your video you realize all the little things he does that really elevate his work.

You have some lovely shots in there, but the cuts feel awkward to me. That plane shot comes out of left field for example. Also, the camera work was a little too shaky for my taste.

I would study disjecta's stuff a little more closely, I think you have the beginnings here of something beautiful, but it feels rushed somehow.

How can you compare your work to D-Man's when you don't have a single shot of a duck/waterfowl anywhere in this clip?

Other than the shakiness and the unexpected plane shot, I thought it looked pretty good. Keep up the good work.

oh, of course D-man is a genuis! this? this is just crap. i didnt even bring out my tripod. thanks for watching! appreciate your comments.

just saw it, good DOF

perhaps you can center your shots around a central theme?

i like the colors though, feels very autumn

thanks young,

now that i think about it, I absolutely had no theme. I know I went outside to actually do some plane spotting that day but I ended up filming trees. it's all very silly- anyway, I really had no central theme to it and I was fiddling around too much.
thanks for your comments.

I think I'm gonna go shoot a short now. will keep yous updated.

Terrence Malick is a genius.
Rembrandt was a genius.
Mozart was a genius.
Don't mean to be a stickler, but please don't use that word haphazardly.

a little disjointed in the cuts. i appreciated the handheld most of the time, but some of those shots could have been a lot tighter if they had been steady. I recognized the music immediately, great score to an even better film. If you havn't seen "the door in the floor" check it out, it has completely snuck under the radar.

thanks people for your honest comments... again it's my mistake for putting up this project thats been literally shot in an hour and edited in 15 minutes. so it's no big deal- i appreciate you watching though.

the music is from the Door in the Floor. I loved it.

bluespider. yeah. tripod tripod... i left it at my friends house...
