Hi, I am interested to know if you guys think I paid a fair price for this. $1575 shipped
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140421218347&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

Here is the ebay add

Panasonic AG-DVX100B - 51 hrs on it. Barely used. I used it for a few weddings and then moved on to another job where it lay unused in a closet. Everything works and looks great. Camera looks and operates like it's brand new.

(1) Pair of Sennheiser EW 100 G2 wireless Lavs
(1) Shure SM58 Cardioid Handheld Dynamic Microphone
(1) Three piece filter kit -UV (Ultraviolet light protector), C-PL (Circular Polarizing filter) and FLD (Fluorescent filter)
(3) Batteries
(1) Hard carrying case with custom fit foam lining
(1) Battery charger
(1) Remote
(3) 3 pck of Panasonic DVC DV tapes
(1) Pack of screen protectors

I feel like I did and I am happy about it. Finding and deciding on a camera has been driving me crazy. I think with the low hours and the extras I did pretty good here. I am hoping to upgrade to a 170, 150 or 200A in the near future so I feel like if I need to sell the camera to help fund that in the fall I will do ok getting back what I paid, minus lavs.

any thoughts?

I think it's a excellent prize, for sure with all the extra stuff you got with it. I payed a little less here in the Netherlands for a dvx 100b with more hours en less extra's.

It's a fine deal dude, and as long as you're happy with it, who cares?

If you can, try and find a copy of Barry Green's DVX Book - read it and cherish it like the Bible...then read it again. That book is the key to unlocking the wonders of the DVX.

Well I care because I just wanted to know if the price was in line with the value of the dvx100b used currently.

After spending alot of time deciding on hd or sd and the whole overall process I was trying to be careful not to overspend on the dvx camera.

I am going to pick up the barry green book! Cant wait to read it.

i would say the price is okay... i saw some dvx cameras getting away for less then 1000 dollar... some of them had a defect in the firewire system.

the sennheiser G2 also cost some money so if youre fine while shooting sd its a good value.

i was also thinking about a good dvx100b or the hmc151.... finaly i got the hmc151 now ;)

Haha alright, to each his own. Honestly I paid about that for mine, so no worries either way. You'll get good use out of it. Its a great stepping stone to other cameras, and is ironically a great hook into Panasonic's HD camera line. It's arguably one of the best cameras to learn on - there's not much like it, which is why its still around after all this time.

The only thing I'd be worried about, since the description doesn't say, is what frequency block those G2's are on. If you're in the US, and they're old block "C" systems, then they're worth just about zero at this point. OTOH, if they're block "A" or "B," then you should have some decent systems.

you practically stole the items with permission... i got my DVX100b (118 hrs), charger, UV filter, and an extra battery for $1950 in December 2008. It still runs smooth as a baby's bottom and has about 230 hours on it.

enjoy it my friend, you have a new companion in life.

Awesome deal, congrats on the new purchase! I bought a DVX off eBay for about $1200 just a few months ago. It only had 24 hours and was in great condition, but I didn't get anything else worthwhile except maybe the hard case and wide angle lens. Had to purchase new batteries, charger, filters, mic, camera bag, etc. so I spent easily over $1500 total. Probably could've gotten a better deal but I was sold on the low hours.

almost the same with me - except i bought mine with more hours on it
i paid 1300 for mine with 104 hrs on the heads, two camera batteries, on board light with two batteries and charger, audio technica shotgun mic., and a cannon bag

basically if u find a dvx with low hrs, nothing really is going to come with it
