Just bought my DVX100B......Help!!

I just brought my DVX100B and it has a grey lcd door. Is this correct? Also, please recommend a good UV lens filter and on camera light for shooting live music club events (dark/low lighting).

Additionally, if you have a Pelican case, which model did you buy?

I thought the lcd door for US models was black as well. I have a call in to Panasonic Tech to check my serial number. I haven't heard back yet. I got it from J and R here in NYC. Before buying, I called Panasonic and they said that J and R is an Authorized Reseller.

Anyone out there know what's going on with the grey lcd door?

Do any of you have Pelican or similar hard cases? If so, which model do you have?
 
Just to let you know I posted a similar question and was told the all black was the DVC80 and that was the answer. I believe your safe.
 
for a pelican case, the 1550 should do the job. i got a 1520 for my DVC30 + tons of accessories and it holds them all fine.

I decided to get the AG-YUC100 since the foam is pre-cut. It's nice - the yellow is kinda bright though. Thanks for basic storage and protection. I'm also looking for a backpack that will carry the DVX100 horizontally....if that even exists....

Anyone with club lighting ideas for an on camera light ? Mic that's good for live music clubs?

The door to my DVX100B is also a dark, metallic gray, while the body is a glossy but textured cast iron type finish. Strange. Until I read this thread, my eye was telling me it was black. And I pride myself on noticing colors and tonalities... !
 
I bought the Pelican 1510, and am diggin' it. It fits the cam with plenty or room for accessories and tapes, and is the perfect size for carry-on luggage at the airport. Took it with me on a recent flight and had no problems at all.

Dont you think you're a little paranoid...
what difference makes what color the lcd is!!
