Hey everybody,

I just received my M2 bundle for my HVX200 and I need help assembling it. The instructions that come with it tell me to register with Redrock and get ont othe forums to get assembly instructions. THE PROBLEM IS that THEY have to activate it, and i've been waiting for over a week with 3 different emails trying to register and they won't activate it so i can't assemble it. Is there any way someone who has one can copy the page and send it to me or write the instructions on the forum? Thanks!

~Brock~

When did you order your M2? I ordered March 23 and am still waiting.

I will check on assembly instructions for you (I have access to the customer forums).

Thanks Sean. I ordered mine the end of january i believe. It's pretty well built and looks nice... i just need to get assembly instructions. I had to order the HVX200 shim set etc. NEwayz, thanks again.

The only assembly tutorials I've found in the Redrock customer section are video files....about 100MB worth, in all. I'll see if I can get them to you. . .

ok... dang. well if you have a high speed connection see if you can compress or zip them and upload them somewhere or email them. Thanks sean.

Seems weird, I usually get a reply within 10 hrs. Getting access for the support forums took only two. Have you send and email to mr. Valente?

Um.. i sent an email to info, sales, access, the pr section, all of them i could get an address to since it's taken almost a week. So i dunno what happened.

Just go to their site and Brian or Brett will activate you as soon as they see your email. There's no instructions on installing the M2 only setting the back focus or using shims. Put it on the rods, slide your camera on and start tweaking.

Okay, here is an image Derek posted over in the M2 forum. I added the arrows.

This rig is shimmed under the actual M2 adapter, which is fine unless you plan to add accessories. (left arrow).

The recommended method is to shim where the right arrow is, between the base plate and the rod clamps. You only need to remove 2 screws to do this. (To shim the actual M2 as in the pic you'd have to take the whole thing apart).

When finished your rods will stick WAY out in front, since the shims will raise the height too much to push the rods back.

If this makes no sense I'll post a pic of my rig. Mine was like the one above until today. Now the base plate is shimmed in preparation for the follow focus.

Please do email us at support@redrockmicro.com if you have any questions or issues - we like to hang out on dvxuser but we don't troll for support issues here

I am guessing the reason why you weren't activated was because we are a "real names" board which means you need to register with your first and last name. that is 99% of the case when people don't get activated. If you still aren't drop us a line at the above email or email me directly bvalente@redrockmicro.com

We also added a pdf manual you can download and print as well.

Thanks

Ok Sweet... thanks guys. So valente i should NOT shim the adapter, only the rod support? Can anyone post pics of that?

Brian, I'm very, very interested in your product. DO you have any problem to ship to Macau, China? I don't think we have Paypal over here, but we have western union and so on. Also, what is the estimate time of arrival of the unit after order? And you also only give one month of guarantee? Is that so?

No problem - we've shipped to all sorts of global destinations - botswana, UAE, japan, australia, nepal, etc. All of our terms & conditions including warranty is right on the order page.

Drop use a line at sales@redrockmicro.com and we can forward payment instructions for non-US customers

Cheers

Brian
