I had to take the time to put this up. This picture appeared in a popular on-line rag that I found, well, on-line, http://www.nmatc.com/ sitting here waiting for the rain to subside on location and it sits under the headline, "Receive World Class Training in Media Arts". As if I had to say it, look at the shadows. And no, the guy's not a grip or a gaffer. He's the cameraman wearing headphones and apparently preparing to shoot this scene. Bottom line, before you can use the equipment, learn the equipment. I hate to shill for anyone but this is a prime example of why things like HVX Bootcamp and other training experiences from evidenced professionals that know and produce to professional standards are so important. Nate Weaver, Ed Hill and others whom I've happily met recently; you asked why we give so much time to this board and the people in it...It's to combat the proliferation of crap like this. People, you're paying $6000 for cameras and probably half or more of that for lighting. Learn how to use it properly from qualified individuals. Spend a few hundred bucks with things like HVX Bootcamp and others. Anyway, I thought you'd all get a kick out of this ad...Front Page no less!!!
