Juno

my favorite character was the dad, i love that actor he always nails his characters. Maybe i'm biased because i think he is absolutely dead on J. Jonah Jameson but he did a great job in this role too. I'm gonna go IMDB him now so i can see what else he's done.

All in all i enjoyed this movie, i like quirky stuff even if it was a little forced at times.

Watched this film last night on Cinemax. I found it really funny but one thing that annoyed me was that everyone had the same wit. It was like the writer spoke for everyone and that came through.

One other thing that bothered me was Michael Cera's character. He did a great job and is a very understated comedian but it wasn't his performance that bothered me. It was the reaction his character had to having a baby. It was like it had no affect on him at all. He just hears about it and never really cares. You can see that he loves Juno but there is no reaction there at all about the baby. I mean anyone in that situation would have more of a connection to what is going on and possibly want to find out more. But here he just hears she's pregnant, finds out she is giving it up for adoption, and that's it. He just goes on living his life like nothing happened. I found that really odd. The movie explored Juno's reaction really well but it did nothing with Michael's character.

The performances as a whole were great but Juno's father was the funniest. Overall the movie was really good. I can see why it was well received.

Hey great review mjjason. That's how you break a film down. Good criticism and your reasons were well put.

I enjoyed the film as well. And I did think it was odd Michael Cera's character just was in Neutral about the baby situation... There's many things that can be nit pick about this movie or any other film, but overall it was good, but the Michael Cera's reaction was the only obvious flaw I thought.

I just watched this today (Well, most of it... too much activity in the house to be able to watch a whole movie uninterrupted), and rather enjoyed it. I particularly enjoyed the parts with J.K. Simmons, he cracked me up!
