Jungle expedition

Today I shot some 720pn30 of various jungle animals . OK, so I went to the Nashville zoo. Due to the weather, practically had the place to myself. Monkeys put on quite a show and the colorful birds tested the camera-
but I think it passed. Found that the focus assist is a great tool. Elephants
ears and a couple other places had some funky artifacting I can't figure out-
maybe you can. Wasn't there until exported for web.

hey.. the resolution of this video is so poor it looks like it was shot on a handycam.. Up the size of this and you'll get more comments.. Nice SFX though.. but I couldnt sit through it..

I upped the rez, the file is now 33 meg, double the previous size. I revised the order of scenes and shortened it. Less monkeys.

I only get the audio.
Same with the first one...

What format is it?
Any chance for a direct link?

Its playing OK on my Mac and my Windows machine. Format is Quicktime H264.
Do you have the latest version?

Not sure how to give you a direct link - when I right click on the video, no properties
box- just a Quicktime related box. Nothing on the page but this video.

Thanks!

That was fun.
WIll show my son next morning!

What I like:
Colors (generally) and exposure
Framing (mostly, but not all)

What I don't like:
You should IMHO let the camera stand still for a couple of seconds in the "almost locked down shots" Becomes annoying with sligh stutter throughout, and it doean't look handheld...
Too much seems slightly out of focus, but that may well be due to pretty hard compression... I guess the motionstutter (not the lockdown) may be a compression issue as well.

Of course, you could lock it down in shake afterwards, but... -;)

Thanks!

Thanks for the comments!

Not sure which scenes you are talking about here - specific places?

Note that the parrots freezing for a few seconds was a FCP issue I'm having.

The slightly out of focus thing is something I've noticed too. Looks a bit better in the
full size file - but I'm wondering if my back focus is off. Seems whenever I zoom in and focus, then back out, focus veers off. Sure wish it had an adjustment like a broadcast lens.
Also, most all my shots were at full zoom. The lens seems a bit soft there.
Seems like I've seem a thread on that somewhere.
