Well, I'm starting this thread in hopes we'll have a meeting in July. I still want to play beach football, but hey, that's just me. You guys discuss where and when and I'll see if I can wing it.

Aw, thanks for being so considerate, Charlie. I wish I could say. Everything right now is in flux. I recommend you guys go ahead and plan something regardless. If I can come, I will. :)
 
I've got a writer's meet this month, but really would like to meet you guys.

Ohh just saw this thread. Im still waiting dates - should be next week or so. Ive been told though that after we finish up this time Ill need to look after myself - accomodation etc. So Ill probably hang around an extra 3-4 days making sure a weekend is included. Any recommendations where I should stay? Renaissance by the Kodak was OK last time I guess, but I want to spend my days catching up with as many people as a I can. Hoping Timur has some time this go around, want to have a nice theory discussion. And want to have a night on the town with some of you guys also - bit of fun etc.

Also when I confirm dates - if people are shooting anything let me know - would be happy to come down and get my hands a little extra dirty.

Hope Tom has been practicing air hockey.

In addition I am thinking of spreading the love on the HPX - any good daily rental place? Would be nice to show some fellow users what this baby can do. Would also love to find a way to coax Barry Green out with us - would be great to meet the p2 guru.

Hey Noel, are you looking to stay in the same general area (Kodak Theater)? We're kind of spreak out here. DC and I are in the Valley, Charli is in Santa Monica, Luis is near the Kodak (I think)... Not sure where Doug or Matty live.

We might be shooting something for Adfest soon... or maybe not... not sure yet.

Haven't been practicing air hockey though, so you'll probably kick my arse. :)
 
Hmmmm. A meeting of L.A. members in July...

If you want to meet in July, it may happen in September or October. It seems impossible to get people here to commit to anything. :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)
 
Blain - you would think that, our schedules so crazy. I actually got to meet Brian, Noel, Tommy, DC, so I'm stoked to seeing them all again.

Noel - if you get a hotel on Wilshire, the metro goes out that way, I could easily meet you. I think I might be the only one this far west.
 
Hey, it's always good to meet ya'all. Except for that one guy with the glass eye. He was creepy. And kept asking me for money to buy Fig Newtons.
 
I live near Hollywood and Highland. I met Matty at Cinegear a few weeks ago, nice guy. I believe he said he lives out by Riverside.
 
Yeah, I'm out in Riverside but as I have no dayjob(9-5) I'm free most of time for a drive out to l.a.

how is the 14th/15th for everyone?
I'm going to be helping out at Ketch's testing (should be a few threads up) on the 21st.
