Take a look at the Infinity camcorder from Thomson/Grassvalley it also uses the JPEG2000 codec.

JPEG20000 delivers 10-bit 4:2:2 resolution images, is frame accurate, and synchronizes good with digital audio, for SD or HD post-production editing or compositing work.

Thanks xray but by now it's not 1080p.

IMHO, progressive is an important requisite to film-look.

Do you know anything about that upgrade to 24p if it will be. They have the Viper, so its interest shouldn't be so much, I think.

I saw the CC corrected Viper demo and it was great, actually the best I have seen so far ! The infinity shoots 720p50/60, the workarround to get the 24P from the 25P is easy.

BTW: 720p/50 is like 1080i/25 the EBU advice for creating HDTV here in Europe.
