GH2 Johnny Standpipe - The Brooklyn Home Decorator with SLR Magic

I've had the SLR Magic 25mm T0.95 CINE for several months now, but used it mostly for photography. I was reticent to try handheld video after disappointing handheld results with the 25mm PanaLeica, and thinking that video with the SLR Magic must wait for a more formal situation with proper support. However, looking at some of the footage here, I'm realizing that handheld shooting is quite possible and in some places looks very good (excuse some early micro jitters).

Shot with the GH2 and lens only. Audio from the internal microphone. Edited in FCP X.

Hope you enjoy and feel free to download and/or comment.

Great music. Inspiring guy!^^ Hey, looks pretty clean - may I ask what ISO and lens aperture you were using? At the moment, I'm planning to pick up the Vario 35-100 f/2.8, but a Voigt or SLR Magic might be in my future. It's a tough call, since I've got shaky fingers too. Maybe the upcoming Leica 45mm? Haven't decided yet... I'll probably have to pick up one of those gimbal thingies one of these days, then I'll just have to worry about focus... BTW, how did you focus? Does focus assist work with manual lenses or what? Thanks!

Can't say for sure but I generally stay at 200 if possible and only lift ISO when I have no other option. As to aperture, don't know but certainly towards the open end, perhaps 1.4 ish....

By the seat of my pants........ and yes, focus assist always works regardless of lens.

Thanks for watching.
