All the greats don't wear pants; Donald Duck, Jack Black.

This looks great and the CGI for this animation may be the best I've seen.

The CGI definitely looks good and will probably go see it, but I agree with the neck thing. I think whoever decided on the shirt really liked him in Fear And Loathing Las Vegas :)

You're exactly right. The shirt and the neck was a nod to that film. I just can't find the link where Gore was talking about that.

Saw it yesterday. Drop dead gorgeous film. Cgi and film wise. I loved it. Texturing on the characters was jaw dropping. Lighting, camera directing was , blew me away.
Hope you like it. (A lot of inside jokes for the adults also. I found myself laughing out loud a few times and then thinking, ooops.)

Johnny rocked the rango movie in theaters. The movie have so funny scenes that no one can be there without laugh:D

Im about to go see it....will take your word for it ...wolfman sir :)

Yeah, just don't take my word for it. The reviews are really good on the web. I'm happy about that, that someone agrees with me. I hope you like it as much as I did.
Let us know.

Man this was great .Love Pixar movies/style but this was a true breath of fresh air for 3d animation movies IMO. The desert scenes are awesome; wait it all takes place in the desert :)
The adult jokes were awkard cause their were lots of children sitting around me...Remember a woman getting carried away with her joy at the back to my right ...so I joined her.
Great story ...well shot I must say. When I had first seen the trailor I was thinkin the characters have way to much detail ...but they moved so naturally it was quite pleasing to the eye. Would love to see some character devolpment ...they do remind me of characters of an old pc game.

PS: Never listened to critics and Im not gonna start :)

Finally saw this on Saturday. It's great fun. I think that much of the fun comes from identifying the huge stable of films that served as the grist for this one: it's one of those rare purposely hyper-derivative works that's really an assemblage of other works, more than anything in and of itself...and that's a big part of what makes it so enjoyable. Also technically really magnificent.

Only caught this a month or so ago myself, felt it was solid but nothing spectacular and was a good 20mins too long..

Just saw this movie on dvd , and was blown away by how good it was. This is a real loving homage to spaghetti westerns, along with a collection of other movies (Fear & Loathing, Chinatown to name two obvious ones). The creatures in the movie are all quite grotesque looking; so much so that the Producers must have been pissed that there was never any hope of selling toys to kids based on these characters (yeah I know the characters are cute, but they really are grotesque looking). The music really rocked too.

I had not been really interested in the upcoming Lone Ranger movie, but now I'm really rooting for Verbinski & Depp to pull it off because they seem to have a real respect for the Western genre. I'm interested to see what direction they take that movie in after seeing this one.
