hey guys ... had to shoot in DV with HVX200 for john mayer interview for MSN a couple weeks ago .. was amazed how well it looked in DV mode .. 480/24p helped some .. natural light for key from window in backstage production trailer at Irvine Ampitheatre ... backlight and background light were used to simulate sun coming through non-exsistant window ... client did not want HD ... only DV .. hoping cineporter will be out soon .. still trying to figure out ways to deliver captured video to some client when they want to walk away with a tape ... not wanting to wait for files to be delivered ... a new era .... firestore seems interesting and may be only option if cineporter does not materialize soon ..

I budget in a USB OTG HDD and leave clients with the drive. I use a laptop to back-up the P2 cards while I shoot. At first, there was some resistence but when I told them they saved more on editing/capturing than the cost of the drive, people came around. Depending on the size of the drive I charge anywhere from $100 (for an 80GB hdd) to $250 (for a 160GB HDD)
