Met the guy several times.

Very familiar with his TT Ferrari...

ID software is down the street from my house. :)

I just recently learned that Carmack is the son of a Kansas City news anchor that I grew up watching. Now he (John) is not too far away from me -- although I don't think I've seen his Ferrari.

That your Vette, TDE?

John Carmack to me is a modern genius.
Consider yourself lucky TDE to have such a neighbour.

And ask him to update his blog with some rocket stuff.
That would be cool.
-Thanks.

That vette is not my personal car, although I do drive it 3-4 times a week. We have 12 identical cars, we give rides and teach people how to drive them. Which is why I am on this site, my CEO bought me a DVX100B to film and promote our company.

Each year JC hosts "quakecon" here in Mesquite, which is where I grew up and went to high school. He gives away the best prizes. He has in his possession a solid carbon fiver TT Ferrari Testorossa that makes over 1500hp...

Much respect to JC, total computer genius. Man TDE you lucky *BEEP* :)

Good to have someone like that nearby, yes. If you knock on the door and ask for the tour, they never mind to show people around.

I don't see him that often anymore, but if you drive by their place in Mesquite, its normal to see a line of exotic cars parked side by side.

Nice, the 512 Testorossa's probably my favourite car - along with the 288GTO. Do you have any pics of his TT (what does the TT stand for?)Testorossa?

Twin Turbo. And no pics on this comp, but will dig some up!

Here is his F50 behind ID in Mesquite, next to a beat up apartment complex and a hooters restaurant, lol.

And I bet the first thing he did was modify the cpu.

I won't be anywheres near Mesquite anytime in the next 200 years so thanks for the photo. I'm a Jag fan but I do drool at the F series. That's a beauty.
