job question

I will be shooting a wedding reception with my hvx200a and im not sure how it will turn out with the lighting. This is a link to the pictures of the place. http://www.trgnj.com/images.html

I do not have an onboard light at the moment so I will have to be going with just the camera. I will be shooting 720p/24p. The first and last picture looks doable but I am concerned about the middle.

thanks

for around 300 you can get a good on camera light from BH that includes a battery. The difference is night and day (no pun intended)

The company I shoot for requires a 100 watt on camera light. 9 times out of 10 just using a tripod and an on camera light is what seperates a $1200+ video from uncle Bob's handicam video.

hah theres always an uncle in ameture video. The light is not an option in this case. Do you think I could get away with +3 or +6 gain?

I have a 200a and you could get away with it in shots 1 and 3...2 might be a stretch. I don't like to go above +6 but if seeing the person is more important to you (or more importantly the client) than quality you could go up to +9 for the 2nd shot. The 2nd shot though is probably what the place will look like during the reception. Make sure you're close to the subject in any case. But all you can do is do the best you can with the equipment you have available.
