Jittery Pans

I didn't notice the strobing so much on the LCD when I was shooting, but it was very clear on my computer monitor at home.

When these shots are slo mo'd, they look horrenous.

And you are turning off the OIS as others prev posted? If you are turning the OIS off can you add as to how you turn it off? It is understood that the OIS is on by defualt when you turn the hvx on.

thanks for the post.

It's one of the buttons behind the LCD, where the shutter buttons are. There's a little OIS icon in the LCD/viewfinder to let you know when it's on.

I'm not sure how it works except it consists of a prism and gyro that mechanically compensates for motion when doing handheld work; when panning, it MUST be off, or it will "fight" the pan causing very jerky motion.

The funny thing is, it's not just an issue with panning. I had a shot where the camera was stationary but there were people passing in front of the camera. There was terrible jitter on their movement.
