GH2 Jib shots - Autofocus? Which one?

Looking for advice on which Focus settings to use for some jib shots. I need to get exterior of building, and some jib/tracking shots of people exiting a car.
 
I always use a super wide lens, then stop down to get most of the frame in focus, I have never used auto focus for jib work, but then again, I don't ever recall using auto focus ever. I know it works well on the current gen of cams, but Im just old school, plus I use all manual glass.
