Jello on the GH1...

I had a Canon 5D2 for a year and sold it before I bought and hacked a GH1...so I can't make a direct comparison of them for "jello".

The more I use the GH1 the more I seem to be noticing it's tendancy to show jello, but I can't decide if it's actually more prone to it than the Canon...or is it that I expect too much of the GH1, and am being a bit selective in my memory of how the Canon would perform in the same situation regarding skewing. In just about every other way I really do like the hacked GH1.

I know that all CMOS are jello prone...but apparently some are better than others due to the way the information is taken off the chip.

Anyone using both cameras care to comment?

Any suggestions for reducing the tendancy to show jello, particularly with a tele lens?

While shooting that's about all you can do. Keep from doing any erratic movements and you should be fine. Or at least within a decent amount as to where someone who's not looking for it won't notice it.

avoid hand held and 1080 if you want to reduce jello or practice bracing camera/leaning on walls to stablise yourself especially with those long lenses. 720 is alot less prone to jello. It is much of a muchness in my books between the two regarding skewing. At the end of the day you still have to practice the same shooting techniques to avoid it on both cameras.
