At least someone is paying attention.

Re: Jeep or Truck

I think mine has good off road handling, good mileage, convertable-ish, AND, doesn't say you're compensating for that special something.

btw....the basket's see through :o

unlike your avatar... ;D

john...if you get a jeep are you getting a hardtop?

Re: Jeep or Truck

I'm torn on that one as well. That's an OPTION that is extra isn't it?

I'm leaning. What year is your's ?

Re: Jeep or Truck

yeah its an option...costs more. mines a 2002. i have been thinking about trading it in for an extended version. i have been able to pack quite a bit of gear into that little bastard, but having that little bit of extra room would be really nice.

from what i hear the new ones are much more quiet then even last years. i think they redesign the softtop every year so its always getting better. its mostly about the noise when you get on a freeway.

Re: Jeep or Truck

Dakotapod, IS NOT!!!!!, it's the newest in gender free safety.

Rich Lee, I was just particularily happy when that was taken.

Re: Jeep or Truck

I read a review whereas the Unlimited is supposedly a smoother ride (due to longer chassis?). Soft would probally be the way to go (San Diego). I test drove Saturday; very hyped on it. Best deal I found so far is $21,951 (Have to add about 8%) for the I6.

:D

with something like that you will need the extra "leg room" that bike offers. know what i mean? no bar down the middle...ouch...

that seems like a pretty good price john.

Re: Jeep or Truck

I like the extended cab on the Frontier, looks a little mor comfortable than the Jeep. My brother-in-law has a Dodge Ram that has an extended cab, it is nice

Don't expect to off road over big rocks with the Unlimited.

The rockers are going to bottom out, drive shaft as well, much more often due to the longer wheel base.

Re: Jeep or Truck

thats true...stock, it will have a little harder time doing some of the offroad stuff.

Re: Jeep or Truck

I'd second the rover option. You can pick em up used for within your budget, easy. I had mine for a long time and loved it. Took me everywhere. Those brits have a solid understanding of off road vehicles...

At least test drive one ;)
