a chinless chubby guy with a lisp is really no great match for a talk show... or Doritos for that matter.
I imagine he'll do fine running the network though. He was really never a good comedian or talk show host but from what I have seen and heard, he's good at managing people.

Ratings were GOOD! About 40% higher last night than the final Tonight Show episode. 17.7 million viewers (5.1) vs. 11.9 million (3.4) for his final Tonight Show apperance.

Ratings were also 34% stronger than Conan's show.

No doubt the Kanye West situation and Jerry Seinfeld as first guest helped.

Kanye was on it, geez, I had a date and missed it. Thank god!

The ratings will no doubt trickel down but those have to be the highest premiere talkshow ratings ever.

Conan on the other hand - I was sold back when he would do staring contests with Andy Richter.

Hahaha, me to man.....I grew up watching that show, Conan has always cracked me up.

No doubt the Kanye West situation and Jerry Seinfeld as first guest helped.

I watched it because I wanted to see how different from his Tonight Show it would be (not much). Seinfeld being on it was immaterial . . . but I almost skipped it because of West.

But, that's just me; I'm sure there were those who watched because of those things. West, anyway. Seinfeld probably wasn't that much of a draw.
