Japanese Version of GH2 on Ebay - is this PAL or NTSC version?

It says. "1080/60i Full HD Video in Stereo". That tells me that it is an NTSC model as opposed to the 1080/50i that the PAL GH2 should do.

Thanks...damn, wanted a PAL version as I live in Australia.

But could I use this camera in Premiere CS5 and just import it onto a 25P timeline? I often mix 24P and 30P onto a 25P timeline, so maybe that would work?

Does the PAL version offer 24P or just 25P?

And if I got the NTSC version, would I need to get a voltage converter so as not to electrocute myself?!

I live in Aus also, i've own a NTSC ver GH1 for 7 months, haven't had a issue. 24p to 25p is very hard to notice a difference...
On another note, i called ted's camera house, they said the GH2 won't be arriving till March and will cost $1600.00
So it looks like NTSC ver is the only way to go... or get the AF 100

Worth noting that Japanese GH2 has menus in Japanese only.

Domo Arigato, Ben! Yes that could be a problem...but 2 of my gh13s were in Japanese before the hack, so if the menus are similar between gh1 and gh2 I could put one of the menus back to Japanese and compare it with the english gh1, which would help setting up the gh2...if that makes sense?!

Does anyone know how similar the 2 menus on the gh1 and gh2 are? I think the language barrier would be very challenging to set up the camera, but once it's set up it shouldn't be too hard.

I'll try shooting in Japanese with my gh13 tonight;)

Thanks for that! Beautiful city, Brisbane, but let's not bring up Origin ;)

Is your gh1 hacked or unhacked, and if its hacked, have you shot NTSC or 24P on it? Are you using CS5?

And do you think the charger would be rated for worldwide voltage or just Japan?

Yes! No origin talk!

My Gh1 is hacked. But for some reason the NTSC>PAL doesn't work and I've been too busy to fix it. I've only started to use 1080 24p only recently ( I mainly did web stuff so i used 720 60p, so i usually export out as 29.97), but when i've thrown it into a 25p timeline or exported it out as 25p and it seems fine.
The charger question, i don't know.

cheers

PS i use CS5 and haven't had any issues.

The chargers for my Panasonic HMC40, and several Sonys, are all 110-240V 50/60Hz. I would be amazed if that were not true for the Japanese GH2 charger also.
