I only read English, but the illustrations are interesting anyway.

Thanks Peter. I went straight to page 142 to check the HDMI out info. I am really interested in what could be achieved if there was a way to record from this. It doesn't mention much except you need to set up auto to view Cinema Movie, Slow mo or Quick Movie for 24 fps. I'm assuming it's talking about in-cam settings but it takes me a while to crawl through the Japanese (of course with more than a little help from the wife). I read on the Japanese site that there was some form of restriction on the HDMI but it doesn't SEEM to mention it in the manual.... admittedly I've only spent a couple of minutes looking at present....
