Thank you so much for showing my package. I hope those that are undecided, see this package as one of the cool bargains of the day and it suits you to a T!

Anyhow, the bag is available separately if you want to order it separately, from one of our authorized dealers it is called the EFP-Bag. Be gentle in your inquiry on the package, and the bag.. The marketing bulletin just went out on both, not all salespeople will be on top of everything, so just ask them to please check with their management.

The Serious Magic DV Rack rebate has been extended through March. If we purchase this special Panasonic/Serious Magic package will we still be able to apply for the $200 rebate?

is it the DVCproline bag that they have at the shows?

anyway the price it's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy out of my range

will have to go for regular DVX, buy DV rack separately, and xtra batt from DVXUser.com

plus that price is based on the MSRP of the camera and I don't think anybody would buy it for the full MSRP :-/

Hi Unix,

The price on the DVX100A is $3995. Do you pay that much for the camera? The price on the package is $4795. I suggest that you ask one of the dealers to quote the package before you walk away from it. Kepp in mind that you get a nice case with the other three items.

Thanks for the head's up on the Marketing Bulletin Jan. I gave all our Sales Rep's the heads up the day it hit the wire! It is really a great package and with the rebate, creates an even better deal. :o

I just checked at BH and they do not list this package. They have about 7 or 8 of their own packages but not Jan's. Do you have to phone them to get the deal?

I would say yeah you might. It seems to take about two weeks to go through their marketing bulletin to web page update. So I would call them for your price.

Like I said before Jan, I think you should usurp the title of North American Product Manager instead of being limited to just the US.  Or better yet, Global Product Manager... Sounds better ;D

That was the bag we started with but it was just a bit shy in the top compartment. When Kata introduces this new one it will be the MC-61. But I think I have the exclusive for a couple of months. This bag will be just a bit more expensive than the MC-60.

It figures Jan... I should have waited! You're right, The top compartment is pretty tight on the MC-60. I don't have a matte box yet, just the stock lens hood. With anything more than just the camera it would be a little snug. The construction is very lightweight but extremely durable. When I saw on Kata's website that they sell flack jackets for field journalists, I figured they knew what they were doing in the "durabililty department." What a great bag! Thanks for the clarification.
